August 2020: Unstoppable
Bethany Hamilton is a professional surfer. Aged 13, she was attacked by a tiger shark and had her arm bitten off just below the elbow. By the time she reached hospital, she'd already lost 60% of her blood. Her father was already at the hospital, having been scheduled for a knee operation that day, and she took his place in the operating theatre.
Within 26 days of the attack, Bethany was back in the water and learning to paddle and surf again on a specially adapted board. The story tells of her fight to get back on the podium again, as well as how her life continues to adapt as she grows up and enters motherhood.
The film is available on Netflix at the time of writing. You can watch the trailer below.
