What are the facts about climate change? Find out with the nation's favourite presenter, one we've all come to love and trust. This one hour documentary from the BBC and presented by David Attenborough was released in April 2019. Click below to watch the full documentary.
Want to know how you can make a difference? There are some recommendations for how you can help reduce the impact on the planet (49 to 52 minutes if you don't want to watch the full programme) and their points are summarised below:
Insulate homes (save yourself money too);
Buy less, and when you do buy, buy higher quality and make it last; and
Food: eat everything that we buy, avoid air freighted food (100x more impactful than sea freight) and reduce meat and dairy consumption, especially beef and lamb (as cows and sheep ruminate, resulting in them burping up methane).
Unsurprisingly Mr Attenborough also mentions 'some of the most challenging sources of emissions, like aviation'. You can help keep your air miles to a minimum by enjoying adventures here in the UK. Adventure Breaks are usually accessible by public transport (usually requiring a short taxi ride for the final section, which can be shared with other guests). We're also happy to advise you with your own adventures if you have any questions.
