Windermere Weekend

WINDERMERE WEEKEND

by Adventure Solos

OVERVIEW

Windermere Weekend by Adventure Solos is a social, fun summer event with activities on and around Windermere - England's largest lake.

This adventure-packed weekend features various activities including giant stand-up paddle boarding. We tie several activities together on Saturday with a 'journey' - a hike up 'Gummer's How'; walk with very rewarding views from the top that look out across Windermere and the Lake District fells (hills). We then drop back down to the lake where we'll be met by our crew with giant stand-up paddleboards (and warm wetsuits) to allow us to complete the circle by paddling back to our home for the weekend. On arrival, we get stuck into raft building including some very fun challenges.

Saturday evening is social; we dine at a beautiful pub in the village of Bowness-on-Windermere and on Sunday we're be back into the activities with some challenge on a ropes-course and the 'Sky Pole'.

We have modern lake-side accommodation which is an excellent base for the weekend. All Adventure Solos events are solo-friendly, making the weekend a great way to meet new people. We start the weekend with a welcome meal and drink in a tipi on the shore of Windermere on the Friday evening, a great setting to get to know the other guests.

This is a fun, social weekend, with the chance to try some new activities, make new friends and discover some of the Lake District's more beautiful spots.
